Get Me Started: Design Consultation

Alice will meet you at your home or online and learn about you, your family, your lifestyle, your aspirations, your design style, what you love or hate about your home, and what your plans are for the near future.  This is a 2 hour, one-time, in-home or virtual consultation.  The concept behind the 2 hour session is to provide hands-on homeowners with all the information and ideas necessary to carry the project forward (paint colors, furniture placement, drapery suggestions, contacts, etc.)  This is your opportunity to share photos, tear sheets, paint samples, and other design inspirations to be taken into consideration.  From there, Alice will be able to offer her professional advice on how to approach your project based on your budget and time frame.  Whether you’re planning to sell in the near future or not, Alice always takes resale value into consideration.  This alone could save your thousands of dollars in the long run.  To make the best use of the allotted time we suggest you prepare a list of questions you’d like to have answered during your meeting. In addition we suggest you have a notebook ready to record all the suggestions you receive.

Fees for consultations are  paid for in advance of the consultation by credit card or by check or cash at the time of the consultation. Hold My Hand: DIY Home Design Plan

Are you looking for a cost-effective way to decorate your home?

Our DIY (do-it-yourself) Home Design Plan was created for someone just like you. You don’t mind doing the work yourself, but you just need someone to help design the big picture plan, advise on color schemes, ensure a cohesive style, provide resources for vendors and where to shop, and help you make sure important details haven’t been overlooked.

We’ll start with a design consultation (see above for details). Then, we’ll craft a DIY Home Design Plan tailored to your style, lifestyle and budget! This plan includes:

• up to four (4) hours of consultation beyond the initial design consultation to be used in person, via phone and/or email.
• customized floorplans outlined with furniture and accessories arrangements
• customized paint color recommendations outlined with all the numbers and finishes
• vendor referrals as available in your area
• resource referrals as available in your area
• advice and critique of progress photos provided

From there, all renovations will be outlined, budgeted, sourced and outsourced to professional home vendors who will complete the work under Alice’s expert management while ensuring we stay on track with the project timeline. You won’t have to agonize over what paint colors, flooring, lighting or countertops to choose and who to hire to do the installations. As Alice’s VIP client, it’s all taken care of for you. And you can bet that you won’t end up with a boring vanilla box either…no way! Alice’s goal is to update and inject personality in your property while designing a home that truly fits that way you live… and a sterile environment is unacceptable!
