If you’re remotely involved in Real Estate and are part of the Twitterverse, you’ve undoubtedly heard of REBarCamp. I started noticing tweets about this REBarCamp about 2-3 months ago and tried to do some research about it, but couldn’t find any real information. Then I noticed that there was going to a local event in August and decided I would attend even though I still didn’t know exactly what it was all about.
I connected with Rudy Bachraty of Trulia and volunteered my assistance. They needed furniture so I connected Cort Furniture with Rudy and the rest of the story is on this video. When we initially saw the space, I don’t think anyone knew it was going to be so big. Deayn and I worked on the space planning and furniture wish list and she worked her magic to get as much as she could approved. As with any project, not everything you plan is delivered, but we worked with what we had and it turned out pretty good. Many thanks to Tim from Trulia for his assistance and particularly to Andy Kaufman who created REBarCamp a year ago.
On Tuesday August 4th, 2009, over 350 real estate related professionals arrived at the Trulia headquarters at 208 Utah Street in San Francisco and enjoyed a day of face-to-face connections with folks you usually only see online. We shared information, opinions, resources, and beer! Hope you all enjoy the video.
Unfortunately, I forgot my camera on the day of the event. I borrowed a camera but don’t have the right tools to extract the photos. Oh well…
