Chic Hotel Inspiration: The Chamberlain in West Hollywood
As I've mentioned many times before, hotels are a great resource for design inspiration, especially chic boutique hotels like the Chamberlain in West Hollywood, Ca. I'm embarrassed to say this is an extremely late post. My daughter, Alexa and I, stayed at the Chamberlain last August. We needed a hotel room for an extra night and the hotel we were staying at was completely full so we had to find alternative accommodations. It actually worked out in our favor because we got to stay at this beautiful location. Click on the video below to see a live tour led by myself and my very excited almost 8 year old. It just goes to show that your environment absolutely affects how you act and feel. You can see how excited she was about this pretty hotel space...even if it was only home for a night. It genuinely makes a difference. From the moment you walk into the hotel, you are greeted by the bold choice of patterns on the glass doors and those amazing chevron floors!
Can't you see a similar seating area in your own home? The use of mirror really expands this small area in the lobby.
This hotel room feels like a like a chic condo...I could totally live here!
I love the step-down living room / sitting area and the geometric room divider that separates the bedroom area. I'm going to have to incorporate something similar in a future project.
The bold black and white marble floors make a real statement in this bathroom...
And, of course, we had to scope out the rooftop pool area. Sadly, we didn't have time to enjoy it. Wouldn't you love to step out into a space like this in your own backyard. I know I would. I'd be having pool parties every day!
After reviewing the video and the pictures, I'm anxious to go back soon. I hope you found some design inspiration to incorporate into your own space. I'm always torn between my love for color and the sophistication of black and white decor. It's so Parisian inspired Hollywood glam! Thanks for taking the tour with me. Keep your eyes open for design inspiration next time you travel.
