Quick Tips for Living the Staged Home Lifestyle

As I am introducing the Staged Home Lifestyle Network to the world, the motto is that a Staged Home is not just for selling, "it's a way of being".
Here are 5 ways of incorporating the Staged Home Lifestyle into who you are being...
1. Do not wear shoes in the house. This will keep your house much cleaner and more sanitary. Think about all the things you walk on outdoors...you don't want to track that into your house and spread it around.
2. Always keep the toilet lids closed. This is not only a good habit to adopt, but it's good feng shui. You don't want all your luck passing down the hole to who knows where...
3. Make Your Bed Everyday. It's not that hard...it's just a habit that you get used to, like brushing your teeth and taking a shower.
4. Don't Procrastinate, Put Things Away Immediately. Whether it's the dishes, grocery, laundry or mail. Don't let things pile up, just take care of it at that moment and be done with it!
5. Learn to Purge Regularly. I actually enjoy this process. Every couple of months, I just like to go through things and get rid of stuff I don't need. Take some time and pick a closet, files or a room and be ruthless. If it's not absolutely needed, get rid of it. Trust me, it feels great! Hope these inspire you to either adopt new habits or get to purging. Either way...remember, a Staged Home is not just for selling, it's a way of being...think about that for a minute. I personally find this particularly important as a professional home stager...it's all about walking the talk, plus it's just part of who I've always been.
