noun1. art that does not attempt to represent external, recognizable reality but seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors, and textures. There's no denying the impact of black and white abstract art. As you will see from the inspiration photos below, the look is always sophisticated and chic. It is a nice contrast to traditional furnishings, allows the eye to rest in colorful rooms, and adds texture to minimalist decor. Your eye cannot help but be drawn to it. And do you know what the best part is?... It's the easiest DIY project! You can't really make a mistake, it's abstract remember? It's been on my list of things to do...I'll be sharing my results as soon as I have some to share...For those of you who are not DIYers, you can shop the trend almost anywhere.
