Welcome Back to week 7 of the A-Z Home Decor Trend Guide 2014.Over a period of 13 weeks, I'm revealing the hottest home decor trends currently heating up the market, design blogs, and the internet. Today's home decor trend starts with the letter M for...Motivational Home Decor! Over the past few years, we've been seeing wall art consisting of inspiring and motivational words and they've been popular for a reason.  We all need a reminder of what's important to us and keep us striving to be better, do better and live life to the fullest.  Having such motivational decor items around us can serve as a psychological reminder and help contribute to our well being and keep us moving forward in the right direction. I remember when Oprah mentioned that she had received such a gift which I thought was very powerful.  It was a sign that read "Please take responsibility for the energy you bring to this space" (similar to what's shown below).I can see putting this at an entrance to your house, a room, your business, anywhere really.  As we all know, energy is an important contributor to how we feel, interact, and be so, be protective of who and what you surround yourself with.

Here are some ways to incorporate some positivity into your your every day lifestyle...The most popular types of motivational home decor are wall art and decorative pillows...it can be mixed in with your other decor very nicely as shown in this photo.

I love this Get It Girl decorative pillow. How fun to add to your couch, home office or even bed.

Another favorite decorative pillow is the "Every Day I'm Hustling"...who can relate to that? The originals seem to be sold out but here's a different version...

Motivational Mantras are personal to you, so if you run across a saying that speaks to you, cut it out, print it out and place it in a frame and display it in your home.

Here are two great examples...via

How about starting your morning with some motivation and a side of coffee or tea? Aren't these mugs adorable?

Again...just little reminders to get us through the day...

Do you have motivational home decor in your house? This is an easy trend to incorporate and it doesn't have to be expensive. I have some art in my home office and on my inspiration board, but I've been eyeing those pillows and those mugs for some time now. I think it's time to treat myself and perhaps snag a few gifts while I'm at it. Please share how you stay motivated in your home...I'd love to see what ideas I can use myself.
