Welcome Back to the second half of week 7 of the A-Z Home Decor Trend Guide 2014.Over a period of 13 weeks, I'm revealing the hottest home decor trends currently heating up the market, design blogs, and the internet. Today's home decor trend starts with the letter N for...Neon Signs! Obviously, this trend is not for everyone and it's definitely a non-traditional home decor idea, but it's been popping up all over the interior design scene so it's worthy of a mention. Probably the most well known room that has incorporated this trend is reality star, Kourtney Kardashian's master bedroom.  The neon pink LOVE ME sign stands out and really makes a statement against the black, white and grey decor.  It's a kitschy, fun element that would make traditional interior designers cringe, but as you can see, it can be a lot of fun.

Here's another example of a neon sign used as art in an electric living room.  It offers a tongue and cheek clubby vibe to an otherwise tailored space.  It's a great way to make a space more approachable and less serious.

Here's another fun sign above a bed. I'm sure it creates quite the ambience at night, but I can't imagine you getting much rest with it on...

Can you see this iconic fashion symbol in a dressing room, a fashion blogger's office, in a dining space?

Here's some fun neon light inspiration to spark your creativity... (all photos via Pinterest)

Can you see where you may want to add this trend in your home? I'm thinking man cave, bar, rec room...are you feeling it? Please share your neon boldness with me by posting pics to my Facebook Page or Tag me on Twitter @alicetchan & Instagram @alicetamchan and use hashtag #2014homedecortrend.You're also invited to follow my A-Z Home Decor Trends 2014 Pinterest Board where you can see even more inspiration photos of all the trends I'll being sharing throughout the 13 weeks...see you online!
