WELCOME BACK TO WEEK 3 OF OUR ONE ROOM CHALLENGE™ TROPICAL POWDER ROOM MAKEOVER HOSTED BY LINDA OF CALLING IT HOME AND MEDIA PARTNER HOUSE BEAUTIFUL.
I wish I can say there's lots of exciting things happening, but honestly, at this point in the process, it's kind of lackluster. I've ordered materials and canvas art and it's a matter of waiting for them to arrive. If you missed the first 2 weeks...catch up here: WEEK 1 / WEEK 2
I had my painter spray the doors and drawers in Kelly Moore (KM4883) Black Cat in a Semi-Gloss finish. That seemed to be the deepest black color.
I ordered the photo canvases but before I did, I needed to make sure the sizes I was thinking worked in the space. I prefer larger art to smaller pieces but they do have to scale with the space so to avoid making a mistake, I used paper to mock up the frames. I'm so glad I did because I ended up sizing down on the two pieces on the right wall.
I can't wait to see them against the tropical wallpaper which is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. The sink has arrived...yay!
As well as the faucet...loving the black finish!
I have also chosen the pre-fab quartz countertop. It's called winter pearl and it's basically a white quartz that has the look of limestone to it. Simple and clean! Hoping to get this installed by this weekend.
