Welcome Back to the A-Z Home Decor Trend Guide 2014. Sorry I've been MIA the last couple of weeks but it's an extremely busy time of year. As you know, I've been revealing the hottest home decor trends currently heating up the market, design blogs, and the internet and I vow to finish this series up so here goes...Today's home decor trend starts with the letter V for...Vintage! As the saying goes, everything old is new again and this is especially true with home decor. So many things that are considered "vintage" or "retro" are chic and cool home decor accessories now. Take this vintage typewriter that has been given a makeover with pretty pink paint. So chic right? and a great conversation piece. Anyone remember typing on one of these?
And I love this vintage rotary phone...especially styled with the pearls. This would be lovely in a dressing room or a girly bedroom. It just screams Hollywood glamour to me. Aah...the good ol' days!
Here's a reproduction vintage record player that is currently selling at Nordstrom's. This reminds me of my youth which I swear wasn't that long ago...how could my youth and vintage be in the same sentence? *sigh*
One of my favorite upcycled vintage treasures are appliances. They are just soo stinkin' cool! I mean, look at those colors!
I can hear the Happy Days theme song playing in my head...Sunday, Monday, Happy Days, Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days...
This vintage hand painted sign is pretty cute too...
Oh and if you're into the rustic, farmhouse look...these vintage food scales and other like accessories are great decor items for your kitchen. These are the things that people troll flea markets and estate sales for...are you one of those folks?
Vintage books are always fun...they make for wonderful bookcase styling.
